True Zero Order Waveplates
- Cemented:
This type of waveplate is
constructed of a zero order waveplate and a BK7
substrate. The BK7 substrate is used to strength the thin
waveplate. The difference in thickness between the two
plates determines the retardance. Zero-order retarders provide
accurate retaradance over a broad range of wavelengths and are more
durable than single element retarders.
