Sapphire window is made from synthetic sapphire.  Due to the hardest of the oxide crystals, Sapphire has a combination of optical and physical properties that makes it the best choice for a variety of demanding applications. Sapphire maintains its strength even at high temperatures. It has good thermal properties, excellent electrical and dielectric properties and is resistant to chemical attack. These properties encourage the use of Sapphire in aggressive environments where reliability, optical transmission or strength is required.

Sapphire window can be made much thinner than BK7 windows.  It has a wide transmission range. Sapphire window is best suited for scratch resistance application that requires better transmission over a broad transmission spectrum.

New Rise Optics can supply a variety of sapphire optics range from round windows, rectangular windows to rods.  We are capable of supplying sapphire window with diameter up to 3 inches.
